There was a tight contest in Hitchin Sunday League Division One between Arlesey Town and AC Malone - one which Malone hung on to win 3-2.

A fast start by AC Malone saw them take the lead within just two minutes when Phil Payne's low drive found the net from outside the box.

AJ Taitt then made it 2-0, smashing home the rebound after the first shot was saved.

Arlesey got one back and it stayed at 2-1 after Daril Ngwala's penalty hit the crossbar and came out.

Will Felstead did make it 3-1 but it became a nervous last five minutes when Arlesey got a second.

There was an epic game between North Baldock and top of the table Coach And Horses which saw an incredible 13 goals scored.

In the end Coach & Horses managed to maintain their three-point gap at the top by winning 7-6.

Troll Campbell moved up two places in the table after winning 2-1 away against St Ippolyts.

Down And Under were at home against Niche in Division Two and both picked up a point following a 2-2 draw.

Fairfield Park got all three points with a 6-1 win at home against The Cock.

North Herts Hatters had a good 2-0 win away against GSS.

In Division Three, All Saints United were at home against VFC Rovers and with just the bare 11 to start with, an injury left them down to 10.

As a result VFC were able to comfortably win the game 6-0.

The game between Ashwell and Lea Sports PSG saw nine goals being scored but it was not a good day for Lea Sports as Ashwell won 7-2.

The final league game of the day saw second placed Buffs at home against top of the table Boca.

And it was honours even as it finished 3-3.

There were also games played in two different cup competitions this week.

Hitchin Rovers were knocked out of the Herts Sunday Senior Cup in the third round with a heavy 11-3 loss away to Wheathampstead Wanderers.

In the second round of the George John Cup Feed Up Warm Up faced fellow Division Two side Queens Herts Rangers.

Goals from Tom Elmes, Trisden Mills, James Pitman and Harrison Cole helped QHR to a 4-1 victory.

There was an all Division Three tie between AFC Squirrel and Lads Speak Out which AFC won 4-1.
