Individuals came in for plenty of praise after Stevenage's draw with Reading - not least goal-scorer Dan Kemp.
The summer signing from MK Dons grabbed his second goal in League One matches as Boro were held 1-1 by the Royals at the Lamex Stadium.
And the goals, together with vastly improved performances, have come with the 25-year-old playing in his much-preferred central attacking midfielder role.
"We signed him for that position but with the way we started this season in terms of injuries and personnel, we ended up playing him slightly wider," admitted the Boro boss.
"But he's come into the team and I think for the last few weeks now has really grafted and shown his quality.
"It was a fantastic goal and he's now starting to get a reward for his performances and his hard work when he hasn't been in the team.
"We just wanted to really kick on from there. We needed to get another because we knew they would have a threat on our goal because that's what they do.
"But yeah, happy for Kempy and I think he'll continue to grow."
There was also honorary mentions for Nathan Thompson and skipper Carl Piergianni.
The two central defenders returned from injury far quicker than expected and together provided some much needed steel in the Boro back-line, one that has been down to the bare bones in recent weeks.
Revell said: "They're disappointed because we can probably do better with the goal and they’re disappointed because we want to win the game.
"It would have been a huge result and would have would have moved us up the table again but just to have them back, you can see what they bring to this team with their organisation and know-how and experience and calmness.
"The way they want to defend, they make you better and those guys have really given everything to make sure that they're fit.
"Now it's about how they recover. They won't be involved on Tuesday [against Gillingham in the BSM Trophy] and the team will obviously look very different then because of circumstances.
"But, for the next game in the league, then we're hoping that because they’ve trained more, we're in a better position."
