Rene Howe believes Stevenage's youngsters deserve a night under the Lamex lights after crushing MK Dons away in the FA Youth Cup first round.
The lead head coach for the U18 side was "ecstatic" after the Boro bairns ran out 4-0 winners in a match played at Stadium MK.
And with a home tie booked against Cheltenham Town in round two, Howe wants a similar stage to how the Stevenage public how good the next generation can be.
"I’ll be pushing for the Lamex," he said, "whether we get it or not is another thing, but I think we deserve it.
"And if we can organise a night where we can get down there and get Stevenage fans down, that’ll obviously be perfect for the boys.
"Getting fans watching some of the players that are coming through, that's the most important part for the club.
"Some of them have had opportunities to train with the first team and we're just waiting for that time when one of the boys will grab that chance and have a start or even come on for 30-40 minutes.
"It will come at some point, when I don't know, but you know the fans can get down and come and watch the boys and see what good football they're play.
"I'm very happy for them. I've played in the FA Cup myself, I've scored in the FA Cup, but I was probably more nervous for them before this game than I was when I played.
"They deserved that and hopefully we can get through the next round and get a good tie in the third."

Ryan Doherty got the only goal of the first half on 32 minutes but Boro ran away with it as soon as Tanil Salik made it 2-0, three minutes after half-time.
Frank Norris finished off a wonderful third before Lenny Brown wrapped things up late on.
Howe was delighted to see the improvement up top brings a healthy share of goals.
"We deservedly scored four, and it could possibly have been a few more," he said.
"We've hit the post, we had a one-on-one with the goalkeeper where one of the players just took a little bit too much time and then we would have been 2-0 up and cruising.
"That's not the way that football goes but we spoke at half-time and said ‘if you carry on playing the way you are, you're going to have more chances’ and that was evident in that second-half.
"We out ran them, we worked harder than them and we finished our chances.
"There's been games this year where we've struggled to score, we've had so many chances but we haven't been clinical enough.
"Here and in the last five or six games, we've been scoring three or four goals plus so the quality up front has been excellent.
"In the first half, we weren’t as clinical as I wanted us to be but second half, we just kept chipping away, the boys got in and the quality showed through with the finishes."
