Stevenage fans have been almost universal in their praise of new signing Dan Phillips - and now it seems that he may only cost a fraction of what they consider he is worth.
The 23-year-old Enfield-born player arrived in the summer from St Johnstone.
He had been at McDiarmid Park for two seasons but opted against signing a new deal in favour of a return south of the border.
His time in Scotland though meant the Scottish Premier League club were due compensation, a figure that needed calculating and confirming by FIFA.
And reports in The Courier say that has now been sorted, with the Perth club banking just £25,000.
Phillips signed a two-year deal in the summer and has played 11 times in total, seven starts and four appearances off the bench.
