Stevenage manager Alex Revell has given an injury update on two of his players - with good news for one but not another.

Louis Appere has been missing since the 0-0 draw away to Burton Albion in August while Aaron Pressley picked up an ankle injury against Coventry City in pre-season that needed surgery.

The boss said: "Louis Appere has had a bit of a setback so we're waiting now to see what we need to do.

"Unfortunately the scans that he first had didn't show what the true damage was.

"He's been working hard so that's a disappointment for him and for us because we want to see him. He's been brought here to play and be a part of this group and we haven't seen him at his best yet.

"But Aaron Presley, on the other hand, is recovering fantastically well, way ahead of schedule.

"He’s working extremely hard too, one of the first players in and the last out so if anyone deserves to come back and be in a good place and to how what he's about, it’s Pres.

"He'll be looking to come back very soon hopefully which is good news for everyone because that target type of player is something that we crave at times.

"And, like I say, the work he's been doing while injured will hopefully benefit him hugely."

Boro's real long-term injuries are for Charlie Goode (broken leg), Dan Sweeney (ligaments) and Jake Forster-Caskey (ligaments).

All three are expected back before the end of the season but not before the new year.
