North Herts Bowls Club held their annual finals day at their Norton Common home - with the successes spread throughout the membership.
A spokesman said: It was well organised as usual by chairman Paul Riseborough and a full day of matches saw almost 30 club members take part."
Riseborough himself won the Harold Hardy singles, beating reigning champion Andy Denniss in the final.
Robin Edmett did defend his 2023 title, beating Jim Mustoe in the over 75's singles.
John Atkinson was the winner of the Tembey singles, John Wigglesworth taking the runners-up prize, but he could not make it two titles when he was beaten in the singles by Derek Gilder.
Gilder also tasted defeat in a final, losing alongside Malcolm Summerville Brian Hutchings and Gill Crane in the pairs.
Stephen Field and Mike Jeffreys took the honours in the two-wood pairs, beating Trish Jeffreys and Jeff Tebbutt, while Pete Moss was the two-wood singles winner against novice bowler Barbara Gilder.
Baldock Town held their club finals too.
Megan Mackinnon took two titles, the ladies championship and the triples alongside Rose Castle and Matt Hazelden.
Sam Andrew was another with a double success, his coming in the men's handicap and the open sets.
Paul Andrews was crowned men's champion while the two-wood titles went to Julie Mutter for the ladies and Hayden Chambers for the men.
Ladies Handicap - Julie Undrell won the ladies' handicap with Ness Graham and Malcolm Ingram taking the open pairs.
A friendly at Luton Co-Operative was won 76-57 while their final Stevenage Mixed League game at Letchworth Garden City brought a 69-35 success and five points.
Howard Garden played an away friendly against Letchworth Conservative Club and despite two of the three rinks losing, they won 55-38 overall.
That was thanks to a convincing 30-6 triumph for the trio of Amy Bell, David Weemys and John Carrod.
Datchworth were enjoying their 2024 tour to Torquay with the first of our games against the eponymous club of the town.
They were beaten by 125 shots to 106 but did win three of the seven rinks played, the best of them a 20-12 success for Barbara Williams, Jean Curtis, George Campbell and Peter Hills.
The following day brought a 110-110 draw with Bitton Park at Teignmouth.
this time there were four wins and a draw from the seven played, the top rink belonging to Linda Tyler, Sandra Greenhall, Ian Green and Hills who won 22-11.
Game three of the tour saw a 119-67 loss against Totnes, the only success for Datchworth on the six rinks being Janet Akers, Jim Whittle, Keith Smith and Chris Hills.
That saw them pick up five shots on the last end to win 18-17.
Thursday’s match against Babbacombe was called off due to expected bad weather but Datch did play a two hour timed game against Coventry & District at the indoor facility at the Torquay Leisure Hotel complex, where both were staying.
It ended in a 50-45 defeat with the best rink an 8-8 draw for Pauline Whybrow, Alan Curtis, Barbara Williams and Ken Greenhall.
Back home, Datchworth travelled to Holwell for a SML match, one they lost 54-42 despite two rink wins, the best of them to Lucy Williams, Howard Carrick, Ian Williams and Derek Henley, 18-11.
A second SML match of the weekend at Royston also ended in defeat, losing 59-37 with the top rink that of Dickie Jackson, Ann Edwards, Ian Williams and Derek Henley who won 18-17.
