Arlesey Town fell off the top of the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division after a loss at Kempston Rovers.

They went down 1-0 at Hillgrounds, Rafal Wielblad getting the only goal 12 minutes from time, with other results sending the Blues down to fourth.

It was their first loss after five games unbeaten, four wins and a draw.

Baldock Town are 16th after a 2-2 draw at home to Crawley Green, the side one position below them.

They did it the hard way too, going 2-0 down inside 26 minutes, Brandon Carney and Ciaran Maher the scorers.

But the Reds got one back six minutes before half-time, then snatching the equaliser in stoppage time, scoring a rebound after a penalty was saved.

Letchworth Eagles lost 4-2 at home to Irchester United in Division One, despite having taken the lead twice through Luke Baranowski, his second coming on 74 minutes.

Codicote enjoyed a victory in Division Two, beating MK Irish Res 2-1 at home, Bailey Knight and Aaron Jarvis with the goals.

Stotfold are out of the FA Trophy at the first hurdle, beaten away to Leighton Town on penalties in the first qualifying round.

It had finished 0-0 after 90 minutes but Leighton won through 4-3 in the shoot-out.

Hitchin Town fell to a sixth straight loss, 1-0 at home to Alvechurch, but their was a definite sense that they didn't deserve that.

Speaking on Twitter, manager Brett Donnelly said: "Performance wise we are getting there but it’s all irrelevant when you can’t score and don’t pick up any points.

"Only one fit forward killed us but we will continue to work hard to turn it round.

"In the meantime I’ll take all the stick that comes our way. It’s expected."
