Stevenage fans now can put their football knowledge to the test with a first fantasy football game focused on the EFL.

Usually fantasy football games are focused on the top flight only but the EFL have moved to change that with the launch of this game.

All 72 clubs, including Stevenage, are there and fans can choose players from every one.

It will mean making decisions like choosing between Dan Neil of Sunderland and Harvey White in midfield or plumping for Jamie Reid ahead of Luton Town's Elijah Adebayo.

Created in partnership with Genius Sports, the game is free to play and live now.

Former Wycombe Wanderers cult hero, Abebayo Akinfenwa, said: "There have been a lot of fans calling for a fantasy football game in the EFL and, now, here it is.

"It’s going to be a challenge picking a team from players across the Championship through to League One and League Two, but I’m up for it.

“As we’ve seen with other games, fantasy football gets more people even more interested, excited and knowledgeable about what happens on the pitch over the course of a season.

"The great thing about Fantasy EFL is that there’s something for everyone, whether you’re a casual or a die-hard fan."

Fans have to select seven players from across the three divisions, placing them into a formation of their choosing.

Managers can pick a new squad every game week, which runs from Thursday to Wednesday, with unlimited player transfers from week to week.

Players can be switched out moments before kick-off with various options to boost scores available.

There will also be prizes available throughout the season, including season tickets for EFL clubs.

Steven Burton of Genius Sports said: “Fantasy EFL is unique, interactive, and fun and we are delighted to deliver this exciting new game for the EFL and its member clubs.

"This new game will test fans’ knowledge of both teams and individual players while providing them with a platform to compete with their friends and family every week."
