Stevenage have named eight youngsters who will embark on the next step of their career.
The 2024 intake of first-year scholars are all in the U17 age group and all had to be on a scholarship agreement before they are permitted to sign a first professional deal on or after their 17th birthday.
Some of the eight have already been spotted by those watching the first team.
Max Woodford is an imposing goalkeeper who was handed a first-team debut when Boro played Crystal Palace in last year's EFL Trophy.
Ryan Doherty meanwhile is a central midfielder who was involved in the second half during Saturday's pre-season draw with Watford.
Lenny Brown, described as a hardworking, tough and talented player, had training opportunities with the seniors as he contributed assist after assist for the U16s.
Tatenda Mutunga is another with time at Bragbury End with the seniors.
The tenacious midfielder came through the club's pathway and excelled at every step of the ranks.
Alfie Thornett is a central defender who joined the club in his U15 season while fellow centre-half, Frankie Impey, stands at an imposing 6ft 4in.
Riley England was offered his apprenticeship in his U14 season, the central midfielder one the club have high hopes for.
Frank Norris is a traditional centre-forward who holds up play well.
Academy manager Jorden Gibson said: "We’re really excited about this group of apprentices.
"A large portion of the group played on a regular basis in our U18 last season and, already, several of them have seen what it’s like to be in and around the senior squad.
“Ryan Doherty is currently with our first team while Lenny Brown and Tatenda Mutunga saw that opportunity last year.
"Max Woodford even made his debut at just 15 last season.
"They are a talented bunch who work incredibly hard and all of us at the academy are looking forward to seeing how their journeys develop."
“All eight have come through our academy system, and we are excited about what the next two years could offer these new apprentices”.
All eight, as well as all the different age groups have now reported back to Shephalbury Sports Academy.
