The draw for the early rounds of the Herts Senior Challenge Cup have been made.

There are nine ties in the first round while a further seven teams have been given a bye to round two.

There is an all step four clash as Southern League Division One Central pair Leverstock Green and Berkhamsted meet at Pancake Lane.

Three of the first round ties feature a team from step three playing a team in step four, all with the higher ranked team at home.

Potters Bar Town host Hertford Town, Hitchin Town will welcome Hadley to Top Field and Royston Town face Welwyn Garden City.

Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division side Colney Heath made the semi-final last year and will begin this time around at Enfield.

Baldock Town go to Sawbridgeworth Town while Harpenden Town are at home to Wormley Rovers.

The holders of the competition are St Albans City, who beat Berkhamsted in the final at Hitchin last year.

They are one of the seven to start in round two, the others being Watford, Stevenage, Boreham Wood, Hemel Hempstead Town, Cheshunt and Bishop's Stortford.

And Saints face a tricky opening, drawn away to Stortford, relegated from the National League North last season.

Watford will go to the winners of the Potters Bar v Hertford match while Stevenage travel to either Leverstock Green or Berko.
