Plans for the new season and epic away days can finally be put into place as Stevenage found out their League One fixtures for the 2024-2025 season.
It will all start on August 10 when Boro host Shrewsbury Town at the Lamex, the match though being pushed back to a 5.30pm kick-off on the request of TV.
Their first away game is against relegated Huddersfield Town one week later.
Former boss Steve Evans will welcome Boro to his new home at the New York Stadium when Boro go to Rotherham United on October 26, with the return match actually being the final match of the season at the Lamex.
That is the penultimate weekend of the season, April 26.
The first meeting with the other relegated club, Birmingham City, is at St Andrews on November 16.
Hollywood Wrexham are at the Lamex on October 1 while the meeting in Wales is on January 28. Both are midweek matches.
The Boxing Day fixture puts Alex Revell's men at home to Wycombe Wanderers while the trip to Northampton Town is on New Year's Day.
Easter comes late this season with the Good Friday and Easter Monday matches forming games number 43 and 44.
It is Blackpool at home on Good Friday and Bristol Rovers away on Easter Monday.
The final game of the year is away to Bolton Wanderers on May 3, with there being a good chance of an early kick-off because of TV companies.
TV could yet make big changes to all games and the EFL have announced that "within seven days of today’s EFL fixture release, all matches selected for broadcast for the period to the end of September will be announced".
They went on to add that before August 10, "all TV selections will be confirmed for the period up to the FA Cup third round in early January".
Boro will find out their Carabao Cup opponents tomorrow (Thursday), that match likely to be Tuesday, August 13.
They already know they will face Gillingham and Peterborough United in the Bristol Street Motors EFL Trophy, group D.
An U21 side will be added at a later date.
That will be one of either Arsenal, Brighton, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Leicester City, Tottenham Hotspur or West Ham.
Dates for the fixtures will be confirmed shortly, but will start in "early September".
