European boxing champion Lauren Parker returns to action on Saturday night - continuing her comeback after 14 months of injury hell.
The 32 year old from Letchworth faces India's Kamaljeet Kaur in a six-round, non-title bout at York Hall, Bethnal Green.
It will be Parker first outing since she won the EBU European Super Fly weight title by defeating Italian Giuseppina Di Stefano in December, also at York Hall.
That success, after 10 rounds, ensured she added the strap to her IBO Inter-Continental super-flyweight belt claimed in 2022.
Parker said: "My last two fights have been title fights, in between the two I suffered a back injury which resulted in spinal surgery and a 14 month lay-off.
"As the current European champion it is important to keep going forward, it's vital for me to keep active between big fights to keep me fresh.
"Saturday's fight is to keep me busy and help me build towards my European title defence which is scheduled for later this summer."
