Bowls clubs had to contend with mixed weather as well as tough competitions.
In the National Top Club Baldock Town visited Stevenage and won by four disciplines to one.
They also had two Stevenage & District Mixed League matches.
They began with a 47-46 loss to St Ipployts, scoring two league points, but took all six after a 58-34 success away to Whitethorn.
Whitethorn also played Baldock in a county fours encounter, losing 17-14 on a wet and miserable evening.
A friendly at home to Biggleswade St Andrews also ended in a loss, Whitethorn winning on just one of the four rinks, a 16-15 success in what was an 80-63 defeat overall.
Howard Garden had two SML matches.
They lost 48-44 away to Knebworth but did pick up two points after a rink win for Michelle Carrod, David Weemys and Carl Gee.
They fought back from 8-0 down to win 17-9.
Against a reduced Holwell side though they bounced back to win 64-31.
All three rinks won, the best of them being Carrod, Paul Donalson, Sandra Jordan and Tony Wood with a 29-8 victory.
Letchworth Garden City had a successful weekend with their two games in the SML.
They won all three rinks at Aston and 66-33, the top rink that of Sue Sinclair, Troy Page, Jamie Moynes and Haidee Castle who won 26-13.
Sinclair and Castle were in the top rink 24 hours later as they won away to Royston 66-41, succeeding on all three rinks again.
They had been joined by Peter Bailey and Christopher Ottaway as they won 29-10.
Datchworth had a shortened week with the weather.
They played away to Luton Co-Op on drizzly afternoon and came back with a 63-51 loss, their highest winning rink being Annette Hutchinson, Howard Carrick and Steve Arnold, who lost just five ends in their 21-8 success.
A mixed friendly away to Potters Bar for and had to borrow some home players to make up their numbers.
They would loss three of the five rinks and the game, 81-73.
The top rink was that of Mike Usher, Rupert Maxim, Maureen Blunt and Rob Hazeu who also lost only five ends as they won 27-5.
Their only other winning rink was Sue Ellis, Terry Barker, Terry Metcalf and Steve Chamberlain who won 18-14.
The Letchworth-based North Herts hosted Three Horseshoes of Stevenage and lost 47-35.
Lynne Brown, Ann Morris and John Atkinson went into the final end one shot down but lost 13-11.
St Ippolyts' season has seen three SML wins and one loss.
Their first Men's Club League match had them at home to Letchworth Conservative Club, winning 40-18, both rinks finishing 20-9.
They are also holding their annual Ladies v Gents match on Sunday.
