Stevenage's game at home to Barnsley was called due just after 1pm after failing a second pitch inspection.
The League One had been subject to an initial pitch inspection at 11am after heavy frost and ice had plagued Hertfordshire all week.
That failed due to a pitch of frost all the way along the touchline in front of the East Terrace as well as other areas, the South Stand penalty area for one.
There was hope though that the issues would pass but although the latter did clear up, the former didn't and the game was postponed.
