Stevenage have made their first move in the January transfer window with the capture of striker Vadaine Oliver.
The 32-year-old arrives at the Lamex Stadium on loan from Bradford City for the rest of the season.
He signed a three-year deal with the Bantams in the summer of 2022 but has struggled for game time and goals in the 18 months since.
But prior to his spell at Valley Parade, he was with Gillingham alongside Boro boss Steve Evans, scoring 27 goals in 82 League One appearances.
Evans believes he can bring the best out of the Sheffield-born man again.
Speaking on the club website, the boss said: "Vadaine is an excellent signing for us. He has always scored goals for me, more than 20 when we worked together in League One.
"As a minimum, he works incredibly hard for the team and I’m delighted to work with him again."
