Steve Evans wants a party atmosphere at the Lamex as Stevenage host Grimsby Town on Saturday in a match which could see them promoted to League One - but he has also warned fans that patience is a virtue.
The 1-0 win at Swindon Town on Tuesday night means Boro can go up with another success against the Mariners, regardless of results elsewhere.
And tickets have been flying out of the door for the final home game of a season that has exceeded most people's expectations.
The Boro boss has to manage those expectations as well as plotting victory.
The manager said: "Grimsby got another good win [on Tuesday] under Paul Hurst and he'll want to come and win a game. I would if it was the other way round.
"We’re under no illusions, but we need to look after ourselves and that's the only thought we've got.
"We came to get three points at Swindon, we said it was a big night for us and we've dealt with it.
"We need to freshen the boys up and be ready for Saturday.
"We’ll need a full Lamex, we’ll need them right behind us but we’ll need them to have patience.
"You don't win one of these games in in the first 10 or 15 minutes, you have to earn it.
"Promotions are won over a season but we know how tough Saturday is going to be.
"Saturday's a huge game, but if we don't deal with Saturday, we need to go to Barrow and deal with Barrow.
"It's one game at a time."
