Stevenage and Northampton Town have been hit by a charge from the FA after a "mass confrontation" after the end of the game at Sixfields.
A poor tackle and foul by Cobblers' Akin Odimayo on Alex Gilbey in the 90th minute of the 1-1 draw prompted a scuffle between some of the players.
The referee cautioned the player at the time but the FA have now chosen to take things further.
A statement released via Twitter said: "Northampton Town and Stevenage have been charged following a mass confrontation between their players in the EFL League Two game on Saturday 1 April (sic).
"It's alleged that both clubs failed to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion during the 90th minute and they have until Wednesday 12 April (sic) to respond."
Stevenage face Colchester United at the Lamex Stadium on Good Friday in a 3pm kick-off.
