A fantastic 2022 will hopefully just be the start for Whitethorn Bowls Club as they look for an even better 2023.
Their men won the Cairns Cup, the trophy presented to the winning team by captain Anne Gulliver at the club presentation evening in January.
But the new outdoor season is fast approaching and the Letchworth Corner-based club are already hard at work off the green as well.
A spokeswoman said: "We are busy preparing the green and its surrounding areas for the start of the new season.
"Both men and women members have been involved with the improvements and it is now reflecting all the hard work that’s been given.
"People passing by have given complimentary comments regarding the flowerbeds and bowls green.
"We hope some of these people will join us when we play our first game in 2023 on Saturday, April 15, against Fairfield.
"We recommend that people will come and give bowls a try because they will find they will enjoy the sport just as much as the Whitethorn members do."
