Stevenage will welcome a Premier League club to Bragbury End on Tuesday in a bid to get some of their new signings up to speed.
Boro made six signings during the January transfer window, swelling their ranks to 24 if you include the injured Elliott List.
But of those new faces, many have not played much for their previous or parent clubs while others, like Jake Forster-Caskey and Daryl Horgan who joined at the beginning of the month, missed out on game time because of Boro's FA Cup involvement.
Manager Steve Evans said: "We've got a training ground game against a Premier League club on Tuesday and people who need minutes will play in that.
"Maybe one or two more will get more than they think they need but we just need to sharpen up.
"We've got a real high standard of fitness but five or six of them need minutes on the pitch and they'll get the minutes on the pitch on Tuesday.
"Then we'll go forward fresh and we'll see what team we pick for Bradford."
A few did appear in the 0-0 draw at Sutton United and there were some promising signs for the Boro boss.
He said: "Forster-Caskey give us purpose when he came on, we started to play a little bit.
"I thought he was really good. Midway through the second half he was really bright for about 20 minutes.
"He was the one who was hitting the [diagonal balls] and getting on the ball.
"[Alex] Gilbey was really good today in terms of effort and quality, he was good, but we just had a missing front three and that happens.
"The boys gave everything for the shirt, absolutely more than everything in the case of the front six if you like, but we just never got the quality out of the bag."
