David Amoo could be the next to leave Stevenage in the January transfer window after being given permission to speak to "another club in League Two".
The striker joined Boro late in August after being released by Port Vale but has found playing time hard to come by.
And it looks like his time at the Lamex is up, although Steve Evans says there will still be a place for him in his team if he opts not to go.
The boss said: "Late [Wednesday] I gave permission for David Amoo to speak to another club in League Two so David is having a chat this morning.
"However, if David doesn’t want to go through with that, then he knows my thoughts on him and he will be in the squad for Saturday for sure.
"But if he does decide to go through with it, David’s contract is up at the end of the season and he has a young family and he needs to play football.
"He’s a great kid and he conducts himself impeccably and so we have respected that.
"I don’t know what the offer is, what the deal is as I don’t get involved in that, but our chairman felt that as a club, we could let it happen."
Should he leave, it would be the third departure from Stevenage this month, following Saxon Earley's move to Plymouth Argyle and Arthur Read's switch to Colchester United.
Three have come in - Jake Forster-Caskey, Daryl Horgan and Jonathan Tomkinson - but Evans still wants his squad to be larger than when January started.
"We’re working so hard," he said. "We’re working on someone to replace Saxon [Earley] and that is just being held up because their deal to get someone in is being held up only because someone has a slight strain.
"So we’re in the pecking order but we are trying to bring two or three in to the group.
"We’d rather have them today to have them for Leyton Orient and to help our dressing room but it may take us up to deadline day. "But we’ve looked at our numbers and we have good numbers in every position."
