The FA Futsal Fives Stevenage league is to launch later this year
Futsal is coming to Stevenage, and to celebrate a three-team tournament took place at Nobel School.
The tournament was also held to coincide with the World Cup final - and many of the top players at the tournament in Brazil, such as Neymar, Oscar and Lionel Messi, have credited small-sided football format futsal with having a major influence on their development.
Of the three teams that took part, two were from the Letchworth-based Khalsa Academy and the other from Stevenage club Barmond United. It was one of the Khalsa teams, Khalsa Jr, who emerged victorious.
A fully fledged FA Futsal Fives Stevenage league will be launched later this year.
