Blueharts Ladies 2nds are eyeing promotion following a 4-1 win at home to Letchworth 2nds.
They are now six points clear at the top of Five Counties Division One.
Molly Grace Kerr-Barr scored two. There were also goals from Tamzin Wright and Zoe Broadfoot.
The 1sts put in a good performance but lost against Lindum in the final two minutes.
They played attacking hockey, with player of the match Emma Baxter demonstrating what an asset she is to the side.
Blueharts had the majority of possession throughout and were unfortunate not to convert opportunities in front of the Lindum keeper.
The 3rds remain top of Five Counties Division Two following a 3-2 win at West Herts.
Blueharts went behind before Amanda Donachie took on three defenders to make it 1-1. The same player then scored again to put her side ahead.
West Herts equalised, but then Gabrielle Sills was on target to secure a 3-2 win.
The 4ths lost 3-1 at Bedford in a physically demanding game. Helen Ferguson got their goal in the second half.
Blueharts men
The 1sts travelled to Ipswich and were level at the break thanks to Adam Wells’ goal. The second half proved tougher with Ipswich scoring seven unanswered goals to take the match 8-1. This coming weekend the men host St Albans at 1.30pm.
The 2nds took on Colchester determined to remain top of their league.
Starting with panache and drive, they attacked early on and Devon Woolley set up Richard Middleditch for 1-0.
It then went wrong when Colchester equalised from a deflection and then took the lead from a short corner.
Behind at the break, the 2nds conceded a third in the second half as Colchester took the points.
The 3rds won 8-1 at Winchmore Hill & Enfield.
Within the first five minutes Philip Britton drove into the D and was involved in a goalmouth scramble with Rob Clark lifting the ball into the net.
The second came from a short corner strike from Chris Lendrum ricocheting in from a defender’s foot before Clark scored again putting the 3rds 3-0 up at half-time.
The opposition came back with their only goal after a lapse of concentration from the defence.
The 3rds dominated the game with Britton scoring two goals in quick succession. A penalty flick awarded to the 3rds was taken by captain Tom Payne but went wide of target.
Britton went on to get his hat-trick with a Jedi Knight-inspired reverse sweep strike.
Further goals game from Tom Wallis and Chris Lendrum taking the tally to 8-1.
The 4ths drew 2-2 with league leaders West Herts. The Blues were resilient and Anthony Hunt and Isaac Strickland helped them to a draw.
The 5ths were beaten 3-1 by Harpenden at home. Chris Slack scored.
The 6ths lost 7-1 to West Herts. Gary Fung got the consolation.
