Getting behind the wheel included teams from HDSF, Blueharts Hockey Club, local users of HDSF services, and the overall winners Stevenage Leisure Limited.

The foundation was originally set up in Welwyn and Hatfield based at Gosling Sports Park and Stanborough Park to promote the development of disability sport across Hertfordshire.

Headed up by Ros Cramp, the foundation now provides a wide range of participation opportunities for adults and young people with disabilities from a variety of facilities across the county.

Activities and regular sessions include archery, dance, easy rider adapted cycling, doughnutting, fishing and bell boating.

In addition, the HDSF is also able to cater for organisations who would like to take part in corporate activities with a Paralympic twist – this includes team building activities such as Paralympic games and wheelchair basketball competitions.
