The 20-year-old midfielder becomes Boro’s third signing of the January transfer window following the arrival of Tom King and Ben Sheaf, also on temporary deals.

Amos is yet to make his first-team debut for the North Londoners but represented the club’s U23 side on two occasions in this seasons EFL Trophy.

The Welwyn Garden City born youngster spent the second half of last season on loan at Sky Bet League Two side Southend United, but he made just three substitute appearances at Roots Hall.

Amos has also represented England U18s, playing the full 90 minutes in a 6-1 win over Switzerland and in a 2-1 defeat to Russia back in 2015.

Darren Sarll’s Stevenage take on Swindon at the Lamex on Tuesday, hoping to finish January unbeaten in Sky Bet League Two.
