Stevenage:

Paul Farman – 8: Made a decisive save in the first half, provided good distribution.

Luther Wildin- 7: Got forward well, lost his player a few times but recovered well.

Scott Cuthbert- 7: Organised well and strong in set pieces, made a fantastic tackle in the second half to deny Leitch-Smith.

Ben Nugent – 6.5: Stuck with Leitch-Smith well, commanding at the back.

Johnny Hunt – 7: Broke up play a number of times, setting up the counter attack from deep midfield also.

Joel Byrom – 7: Strong in midfield, protected the defence well and showed a good variety of passing.

Michael Timlin – 9: Fantastic going forward, scored the brilliant opening goal and linked play well.

James Ball -7: Sustained a head injury in the first half but played on well, strong in midfield and had a few chances in the box.

Emmanuel Sonupe – 8.5: Greatly impressive full debut, beat his marker almost every time on the right flank and put in a number of good crosses.

Kurtis Guthrie -8: Too much for Mills to handle, quick, strong and good in the air, put in some great crosses.

Alex Revell – 7: Quiet in the first half, but fought well in the air and held the ball up well for the wide men to run onto.

Fleetwood:

Roche -6: Made a good save in the first half and commanding in the box.

Conlan – 5: Struggled to deal with the pace of Sonupe.

Old – 6: Organised well at the back but switched off at times.

Yarney – 5: Looked short of fitness at the back.

Mills – 4: Lost his focus in the first half, giving away a number of fouls and struggled to contain Guthrie.

Wildig – 6: Good passer of the ball and held his position well, struggled against Ball at times.

Fleming – 5: Kept shape in midfield well but struggled to provide going forward.

Ellison – 7: Had two big chances in the first half, should’ve scored a 1v1.

Mandeville – 5: Found space well on the counter out wide, not strong enough tracking back.

Leitch-Smith – 6: Didn’t have much time on the ball in the first half. Came to life in the second, scaring Stevenage a few tines with his pace.

Oliver – 5: Had little service with Leitch-Smith, not in the game enough.
