The BBC has a new drama to keep viewers on the edge of their seats with Nightsleeper.

Set on an overnight train journey from Glasgow to London, passengers are thrown into a nightmare when cyber terrorists take over the train.

An off-duty police officer (Joe Cole) is aboard the train and teams up with the acting technical director (Alexandra Roach) at the National Cyber Security Centre in a bid to beat the bad guys.

But with little to no idea who they are fighting and a few other passengers who may not be as innocent as they look, the journey heads for a long night.

The 'real-time' drama has been written by and produced by BAFTA winner Nick Leather.

Nick has written several hit series including The Control Room, Suspicion, Mother's Day, Broken, The Dumping Ground and Rocket's Island to name a few.

Staring in the BBC's Nightsleeper is Joe Cole who is best known for his role in the popular gangster series Peaky Blinders as John Shelby.

Away from Peaky Blinders, Joe has also appeared in Black Mirror, The Ipcress File, Gangs of London, A Small Light, The Damned and A Prayer Before Dawn.

Also appearing in the new BBC drama is Alexandra Roach who has previously starred in No Offence, One Chance, Y Golau, Utopia and Viewpoint.
