A jury has retired to consider their verdict in the murder trial of a woman who is accused of killing her half-sister in Letchworth with a chicken-shaped casserole dish.
The seven men and five women will have to decide whether Yvonne Caylor, of Grove Road in Hitchin, murdered her 26-year-old half-sister Nicola ‘Nicki’ Collingbourne at her flat in Letchworth’s Ivel Court on May 23.
The prosecution claim Nicki was attacked by Ms Caylor to stop her giving evidence against the 53-year-old in a crown court trial for burgling the flat, something which the defendant denies.
Once the jury have reviewed the evidence and come to a decision, the guilty or not guilty verdict will be announced at Luton Crown Court.
