Permission has been granted for a Chinese takeaway in Stevenage to become a restaurant, with opening hours from 6am to 6pm, seven days a week.
Stevenage Borough Council's Planning and Development Committee gave the green light to Moonlight Chinese takeaway in Oaks Cross last week.
The council had received several objections to the proposal, including concerns from other businesses that it will affect their trade, as well as concerns regarding parking and noise.

However, the council said it "has no concerns with the introduction of the new café/bistro, as the proposal satisfies all of the relevant retail policies".
It also said that, "although the change of use would require a slight increase in the parking provision required, the existing local centre car park is a good size, with good local transport connections, and is connected via public footpaths".
