Plans are being proposed for the development of new homes in Letchworth, after housing association settle found that "considerable investment" was needed.
Homes in Orchard Way and Western Way on the Grange Estate could be built as part of the proposals, after settle concluded that improvements were needed - but investing in building new homes on the site of the existing properties would be the best option.
Development of the following addresses would take place as part of the plans:
- 59-85 Orchard Way
- 17-55 Western Way
- 73-111 Western Way
- 125-351 Western Way (odd numbers)
- 66-96 Western Way (even numbers)
Settle recently got in touch with the residents about the need for potential developments, and their views are wanted again on the new proposals.

"We really encourage residents and members of the community to share their thoughts on our proposals," said Fiona Coulson, executive director of development at settle.
"At settle we’re committed to providing homes that residents can live in safely and comfortably and to investing in neighbourhoods that are good places to live in.
"We will use the feedback we receive to help shape our plans for developing these homes on Orchard Way and Western Way.
"We will keep residents, partners and members of the community updated as we progress these plans."
