Four members of an educational trust have been promoted to new roles, with plans to “rapidly develop an outstanding partnership”.
The North Hertfordshire Studio School Trust, the umbrella organisation which oversees the running of The Thomas Alleyne Academy and The Da Vinci School of Science and Engineering, both in Stevenage, and the Da Vinci School of Creative Enterprise in Letchworth, has made a number of promotions.
Mark Lewis, formerly the headteacher at Thomas Alleyne, has been promoted to the role of executive principal – overseeing all three sites.
He will be supported by new Alleyne head Julia Flanagan and Da Vinci principals Karen Barker, based in Letchworth, and Miraz Triggs at the Stevenage site.
Mr Lewis said: “My new role will enable the schools to work even more closely in partnership for the benefit of the young people in our community.
“I am extremely proud of the curriculum pathways our dedicated and talented staff team have already developed across our group.
“With the generous support of our sponsor, North Hertfordshire College, we will rapidly develop an outstanding educational partnership for our community.”
Signe Sutherland, chairman of the North Hertfordshire Studio School Trust, said: “We have a talented and dedicated team of staff working across the three schools.
“We are confident that a child joining our partnership has access to one of the broadest ranges of curriculum offer that can support and inspire them to achieve their aspirations.”
An open evening is being held between 6pm and 9pm next Thursday, September 18, at Thomas Alleyne in Stevenage High Street where there will be an opportunity to find out more about the partnership.
