Everyone is celebrating at Highbury Lodge Day Nursery in Hitchin after it received another Ofsted ‘outstanding’ rating.
The report – in which the nursery was rated ‘outstanding’ in all fields –described the staff as “relentless in their pursuit of excellence”.
It is the second ‘outstanding’ rating in four years for the day nursery in Highbury Road.
Highbury Lodge manager Carol Kewley said: “We couldn’t be more proud or delighted – but the real satisfaction comes from knowing that our children really do thrive and make exceptional progress.
“As before, our Ofsted ‘outstanding’ rating is an incentive to be even better.”
In her report, the inspector noted the close bonds between children and staff and the range of activities available to all ages – with toddlers enjoying a science experiment with ice, and pre-school children looking at maps, researching in books and creating displays.
