The Stevenage Christmas lights switch-on attracted quite a crowd on Saturday, despite Storm Bert's best efforts to dampen spirits.
People enjoyed festive stalls, face painting, a snow globe, Christmas market and live music.
A heart-warming highlight was a performance from the children and parents who make up The Abilities in Me choir.
The Abilities in Me Foundation is a charity set up by Stevenage mum Gemma Keir, who has written a series of books promoting inclusion and celebrating ability in children with additional needs.
In a change of tempo, garage music legends DJ Luck & MC Neat also took to the stage, alongside pop singer Channy.
Meanwhile, people had the chance to meet TikTok star Sevda, and Santa was handing out gifts to children.
