Outline planning permission has been granted for a new sports pavilion in a North Hertfordshire village.
North Herts Council has given the green light for the existing changing rooms at St Ippolyts Recreation Ground to be demolished and a single storey pavilion with a pitched roof be built.
The existing changing rooms are used by St Ippolyts Football Club.
The new pavilion will include facilities for both the football club and the bowls club.
In a report, a planning officer at the council said: "The existing facilities and building are considered dated and poor quality.
"The proposed replacement pavilion, going by the details shown on the indicative plans, would be a newer building built to modern standards, which is considered larger and would have better and more modern facilities."
