A new sergeant has been appointed to lead the Stevenage South Neighbourhood Policing Team.
Tim Armstrong, a police officer with 23 years of experience, has taken up the role.
He has worked across various policing teams, primarily in neighbourhood policing and wildlife roles.
He became a sergeant in 2023 and has since worked in Buntingford and the Dangerous Dogs Team.
Before joining the Stevenage NPT, Sgt Armstrong led the Rural Operational Support Team and served as a dangerous dog advisor for the force.
Sgt Armstrong said: "I have been very lucky in my career to have had some very varied and interesting roles, but neighbourhood policing has always been my favourite.
"I really enjoy being able to work closely with our communities and tackle issues that are having a negative impact on people’s lives.
"I hope to build on the excellent links with the community and local businesses that already exist and am looking to continue to develop our community engagement work and our pro-active operations around drug supply, ASB, burglary, speeding and shoplifting."
He also encouraged residents to share their thoughts on policing priorities through the community voice platform 'echo.'
Feedback will help shape policing priorities, initiatives, and campaigns.
