Stevenage Borough Council has launched a new grant to help groups host events.
The Event Island Community Grant, funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, offers grants of between £100 and £500 to support groups in hosting events on Event Island.
The money can be used for costs such as staffing, equipment or entertainment.
Councillor Loraine Rossati, cabinet member for culture, leisure, and wellbeing, said: "There are so many local groups that can benefit from an events grant.
"Event Island is a great space that’s available all year round and somewhere to bring people together to celebrate the diverse community that is Stevenage.
"If you’re planning a community event, I’d urge you to consider Event Island.
"The team is always ready to help, and you may be eligible for a grant to help with your costs."
Applications are currently open.
