There are currently long delays on the A1(M) southbound, between Junction 9 Letchworth Gate and Junction 7 Stevenage South.
Hertfordshire Highways are also reporting delays on the A505 Letchworth Gate, in both directions between Baldock Road and Junction 9 of the A1(M).
Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible.
