It is that time again, the end of the week brings a fresh round of public notices for North Hertfordshire residents to be aware of.

Here are a few planning applications which could impact residents across the district.

1. Hitchin churchyard repairs

An application has been made to replace the north wall and the boiler house a St Mary's Churchyard in Hitchin.

The current wall and boiler roof will be demolished.

2. New flats in Stevenage Old Town

Plans include the change of use from an office building to residential.

If it goes ahead, the offices will be converted to three, one bedroom studio flats and two, one bedroom flats.

The new build will be erected above Betfred at 29-29A High Street, Stevenage.

3. Alterations to listed building in Hitchin

A proposal has been submitted for a replacement roof including rooflight above the existing wc/utility room, refurbishment of a rear dormer window,  replacement of the existing rear conservatory roof, and a replace cowl to the chimney at this listed building.

Further alterations to the fenestration will be made to the property at 72 Tilehouse Street, Hitchin.

4. New solar farm in North Herts

A new 35.5 hectare solar farm is planned for land opposite Wymondley Grid Station and to the south of Sperberry Hill in St Ippolyts.

Associated battery storage and ancillary infrastructure is also proposed.

5. Two storey extension in Hitchin

Finally, these plans include a two storey side extension and a Juliet balcony, following partial demolition of existing garage.

Plans have been submitted on behalf of residents at The Folly on Wllllan Road, Great Wymondley.
