Police are appealing for information after seven people, including a child, were injured in a crash on the A1(M) in Stevenage.
Officers were called at 5.58pm on Sunday, November 3, to reports of a collision between Junction 7 and Junction 8 in Stevenage.
Two vehicles, a grey Audi and a grey Seat car, were involved.
The ambulance service rushed to the scene and a child was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Six other people sustained injuries which are not deemed to be serious.
Police are now keen to find out what happened, and are asking those of witnessed the crash to come forward.
PC Ash Jones, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: "Our enquiries are continuing, and I am asking anyone with information to please contact police.
"If you were driving in the area at the time and saw what happened, or have any further information to assist our investigation, please get in touch.
"The road was closed until around 11.15pm to allow for emergency services to work at the scene, and I would like to thank motorists for their patience and co-operation.
