Remembrance parades and services will take place on Sunday (November 10) to honour our fallen war heroes.

Stevenage

A parade involving uniformed organisations, including cubs and scouts, will set off from the Primett Road car park, making its way down High Street to Bowling Green for a short service at the War Memorial at 11am. Anyone is welcome to attend the service, or line High Street to watch the parade.

A short Service of Remembrance at the War Memorial will start at 10.50am, followed by a two-minute silence at 11am.

The Letchworth branch of the Royal British Legion is welcoming all veterans who would like to take part. Please call Nigel Kenworthy on 07980 354221, make your way to Broadway Gardens at 10am to take part in the parade, or meet at the War Memorial at 10.15am.

Letchworth BID manager Richard Harbon said: "All are welcome to attend and be part of the service.

"This year is even more poignant as it is the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings."

There is also currently a Remembrance Trail around the town centre, where you can find out more about the individuals on the War Memorial. Visit the Love Letchworth office in The Arcade for more information.
