The opening date for Hitchin's exciting new GAIL's bakery has been revealed.
GAIL's will be taking over 16 Bancroft, and with work starting on the unit earlier this month, many residents were left wondering when it would be opening.
According to Google, the store will be welcoming customers for the first time on Friday, November 29 - although this is yet to be confirmed by the popular bakery chain.
The Bancroft unit has stood empty since former tenants Monsoon moved out, with plenty of changes set to be made after conditional permission was granted by North Herts Council.
Alterations will be made to the shopfront, with new paint, signage and a retractable red fabric awning proposed, while there are also plans to use space at the rear of the unit for outdoor seating.
GAIL's currently has sites in St Albans, Harpenden and Redbourn but no presence in Hitchin or neighbouring Stevenage.
The chain has long been a hit with customers since opening its first bakery in London back in 2005.
GAIL's now has over 100 branches and is showing no signs of slowing down - announcing plans earlier this year to keep expanding.
