A vet in Stevenage has warned dog owners after "human faeces" was discovered in a woodland, leaving a pet needing treatment.
Roebuck Veterinary Group asked people to "be vigilant" when walking their dogs in Millennium Wood, between Six Hills Way and Stevenage FC's Lamex Stadium.
The vet said that "evidence of human faeces" had been discovered after a dog consumed the excrement.
"Please be vigilant when walking your dogs in and around the woods in between Stevenage football ground and Six Hills Way," a post on Facebook read.
"There is evidence of human faeces again in the woods which a dog has consumed and is currently seeking veterinary advice for. Please do not be alarmed."
This is not the first time dog owners have been warned about human faeces in Stevenage, after two dogs fell ill back in November last year when they ate excrement in Chells Park.
