Former Metropolitan Police officer David Carrick has appeared in court charged with multiple sex attacks on a woman and a girl under 14.
The 49-year-old is accused of two counts of rape, one count of sexual assault, and one count of coercive and controlling behaviour in relation to the woman between 2014 and 2019 in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.
He is also charged with five counts of indecent assault on a girl under 14 in Salisbury, Wiltshire, between 1989 and 1990, when he was a teenager.
Carrick appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London via video-link on Thursday, wearing a grey tracksuit.
He spoke to confirm his name and age but was not asked to give pleas.
He was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on November 14.
In February last year, Carrick was sentenced to at least 30 years behind bars for attacking a dozen women between 2003 and 2020.
Carrick, who joined the Met Police in 2001 and was sacked following his conviction, was handed 36 life sentences with a minimum term of 32 years.
The sex predator previously admitted 49 charges, including 24 counts of rape and charges of sexual assault, controlling and coercive behaviour and false imprisonment.
