Whether it be for a big new housing development or a personal project, there will always be plenty of interest in land up for sale in Hertfordshire.

Here are 5 plots currently on the market in the county.

1. Heathfield Road - Hitchin

This £230,000 plot in Hitchin currently has planning permission for one three-bedroom flat, which expires in 2026.

The land is being auctioned by estate agent Michael Graham, with offers being accepted until 12pm on October 23.

"This is a plot of land in Hitchin with planning permission for the erection of one three-bedroom detached house," the listing reads.

"The plot size is between 107ft and 121ft long, and 42ft wide. It has planning permission granted on January 5, 2023 for the erection of one house.

"The full details are available on the NHC site under application number 22/03253/FP."

2. High Street - Stotfold

Listed for £13 million, the land off the High Street is earmarked for a development of 100 homes, but listing agent Satchells believe this number could be increased.

"We believe having had a conversation with the Central Bedfordshire planning authority, there is scope to perhaps increase the number of residential units from 100 to 169," the listing reads.

"The site would lend itself for many different styles of houses from first time buyers to those looking to downsize as we have a shortage of bungalows in the area."
