Freeview maintenance work may affect coverage in Stevenage and North Herts this week.

The works which began Monday, September 30, may cause "pixelation or flickering on some or all channels".

Transmitters at Sandy Heath covering Letchworth, Hitchin and Baldock, and Crystal Palace, which provides for Stevenage and Knebworth, are subject to engineering works.

A statement on Freeview's website read: "If you are affected by engineering work, please don’t try and retune your TV - reception will be restored as soon as the engineering work is completed."

To find out if your area is affected go to freeview.co.uk/corporate/platform-management/planned-engineering-works.

For those using the service, channels including the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 may be disrupted.
