Despite the extensive flooding suffered by The Brewery Tap in Shefford, Oktoberfest Charity Music Festival is set to go ahead thanks to community support.
The community pulled together after flooding on Monday to fix the damages to ensure the event, in aid of The Luna Animal Rescue, was able to go ahead.
Eight live bands will perform at The Brewery Tap tomorrow from 3pm.
Guests can also enjoy a German barbecue, German beers and a raffle.
Luna Animal Rescue is entirely volunteer run and relies solely on fundraising and donations to help abandoned and abused animals find their ‘furever’ home.
Entry is priced at £5 and everyone – including dogs – is invited!
Have a listen, have a sausage and save a life. For more information on the event visit https://www.facebook.com/share/joj6wpEY8vmZWkz3/
Luna Animal Rescue has recently helped animals such as Eleanor Rigby, a six-week-old kitten.
Eleanor Rigby has already had an operation to remove her right eye after being abandoned with untreated cat flu.
The infection in her eye socket resulted in her eye becoming unsalvageable and resulted in it having to be removed.
After the care given to her by Luna, Eleanor has been adopted and found her forever home.
It's also helped three-year-old spaniel Woody, who was found by Luna with a skin disease called mange, had been underfed and had been brutally attacked.
Woody suffered an injury caused by blunt force trauma to his left leg, leaving it withered with no movement and no sensation at the bottom. His claws had been ground down from being dragged along the floor.
After being left unattended for weeks, it became impossible to repair and Woody needed a complex amputation of his leg.
Woody is now all healed and settled in a loving Luna foster home with his new companion and loves to cuddle up to everyone.
