A patient has been taken to hospital for "further assessment" following a road traffic collision on the A505 near Letchworth.
At 8.45am this morning, police were called to the crash between Penn Way and A1(M) Junction 9.
Fire and Ambulance services were then alerted to the the incident and arrived on the scene at 9.10am.
According to Herts police, the crash involved two vehicles, a white Audi A3, and a white Mercedes C300 leading to a road closure lasting for around two hours.
East Ambulance Services said: "One ambulance was sent to Letchworth Gate (A505) this morning following reports of a road traffic collision.
"One patient was transported to Lister Hospital for further assessment and care."
The section of the A505 has since been cleared and is now open both directions.
