Outline planning permission for new homes to be built in a North Herts village has been granted by the local authority.
The proposed development site, to the west of The Heath in Breachwood Green, was formerly used as allotments. These were cleared in September 2021, and allotments provided in Coleman Road in the village.
The site owner wants to build 10 houses - six semi-detached and four detached, with access to the site from Heath Road.
The former Green Belt land is allocated for housing in the North Hertfordshire Local Plan 2011- 2031.
North Herts Council has granted outline planning permission for the proposed development, with details of layout, scale, appearance and landscaping reserved for a subsequent planning application.
