The first residents have moved into a new independent living scheme in Stevenage.
Brodie Court is part of a new development in Kenilworth Close and consists of 88 one and two-bedroom flats available for council rent for those aged over 60.
Last week, the first 11 residents moved into their new homes from Walpole Court.
A welcoming tea party brought together residents, staff and council representatives.
Councillor Jackie Hollywell, Stevenage Borough Council's Cabinet member for housing and housing development, said: "We are thrilled to see our new residents settling in at Brodie Court.
"This development represents our ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, affordable housing that meets the needs of our aging population. It provides a warm, homely feel where residents know they are safe and can live independently too."
The building has communal facilities on all floors, each with a different theme, including a library, games room, television and music rooms, as well as a roof top garden to sit and relax with friends and family.
The council says "there are a few new independent living schemes in the pipeline for the council that will be delivered in the coming years", which will "provide a fantastic opportunity for residents over the age of 60, living in larger properties, to downsize and free up much-needed housing for our bigger families living in the area".
