Stevenage MP Kevin Bonavia is planning a 10,000-foot skydive to raise hundreds of pounds for charity.
Mr Bonavia has teamed up with Helping Herts to support Home-Start Hertfordshire (HSH), a charity dedicated to assisting struggling families.
The venture has the potential to garner double the raised amount since HSH is one of Helping Herts' partnered charities.
The skydive is planned for September 12, and Mr Bonavia has set a fundraising goal of at least £500.
The MP, who has previously accomplished a charity abseil and sponsored cycle rides, said: "I am thrilled to be taking on this challenge in support of Home-Start Hertfordshire.
"The work that they do to support families in our community is truly invaluable."
Home-Start Hertfordshire's CEO, Suzy Moody, said: "We are delighted that Kevin is undertaking this amazing challenge to support Home-Start Hertfordshire, through the Helping Herts campaign.
"The skydive event is so much more than just an experience; it reflects the journeys and experiences that some of the families we support encounter.
"We hope that people will support Kevin, enabling us to support more families who are facing challenges alone."
