A planning application has been submitted to Stevenage Borough Council to turn a house in the town into a care home for adults.
The terraced house on Barnwell in Stevenage, which the application says was a residential home until August 2 and now sits empty, will remain a four-bedroom property, the plans outline.
The application by company Zionson Care Limited says: "The change of use is to convert the property to a supported living care home.
"The aim is to improve the quality of life for individuals who require support, enabling them to live independently, be integrated and participate fully in our community.
"Depending on the individuals' needs, we will be able to offer multiple types of adult social care services."
